Music has always been a major inspiration with my writing. Whether it's been a song or just a lyric, music speaks to my muses. Especially Bjork's music. I don't know why but ever since I started listening to her in the 90's, I can write to her music or come up with a story. This also happens if I'm listening to Tori Amos, but mostly Bjork.
Anyhow, I'm rambling. Music has been a driving inspiration along with things such as comics, manga, anime, movies, people around me. It's been the most quiet and subtle one too.

I have a hard time writing without some noise in the background, but it has to be the right thing. As long as the beat is steady, you can let even the most obnoxious hardcore stuff melt into the background, but Bjork I think would just be to erratic, you would constantly have it coming to the forefront.
Yeah she can be a bit irksome to have playing when I write. It has to be one of her softer songs like "All Is Full of Love" because when she hits those high notes, there's a whole lot of screeching going on.
